Welcome to Searching for MY Mr Darcy.
If you are reading this, then you and I most likely share at least one thing in common.
Perhaps it is our mutual love of Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen, Colin Firth, London, England, or British Men, (or Scots, or Aussies, or New Zealanders - it's the accent that I go mad for).
Maybe we both like musicals or old black and white romantic films.
Perhaps you, like me, are a total geek who loves all things Harry Potter, Middle Earth, or SciFi/Fantasy, (with the exception of zombies, werewolves, and modern day vampires - give me Frank Langella over Rob Pattinson any day).
Or it could be that you too have an obsession with Scarlett O'Hara's dresses and can't wait for the day when Stella McCartney designs a GWTW inspired fashion line, (I would buy it all!).
But maybe, more importantly, you are also searching for YOUR Mr Darcy - that elusive perfect man - with the hopes of claiming him as your own and having lots of sex and babies, (as Alan Rickman put it so eloquently in Love Actually).
This blog will chronicle my journey to improve my life and health, find career success, increase my happiness, and do my part in making the world a better place; and hopefully along the way, find my own Mr Darcy. (The sex and babies would be nice as well).
P.S. RE the tone of my writing: My sense of humor consists mostly of dry wit and sarcasm. So to be safe, just assume that most of what I write comes from a place full of love and laughter in my heart and a smile on my face, and we'll avoid much confusion and consternation. I will try to keep this blog PG-13, but I am a single woman looking for a mate, so not everything will be appropriate for all ages.
